Hello,
Here in the UK the law is clear about this specific matter, and the answer is definately No! you CANNOT legally marry your own sister. No matter how much you love her.
**The law says this is incest and the law forbids you to marry her or have sexual relations with her i.e. intercourse with her. Again thats seen as incest if you were found out.
**There are other reasons for denying marriage to your own sibling, in that incestous relationships are thought to be unhealthy from a genetic point of view. If there are serious conditions in the family then they can be re-enforced through the genes and this was precisely why the pharoes often didnt live longer lives, because they inter-bread with each other.
**If your serious in what your say here (and this isnt just a wind up??) then I do think you have a problem, why? because its not generally considered normal to have incestious feelings towards your own sister. For most men theirs sisters are not considered a source of attraction or desired sexually.
**Normal "sexual taboos" (built in attitudes & feelings) or sexual boundaries prevent incestious behavour or feelings towards a brother & sister.

Dear Kevin,
Scientifically, it is not advised to marry people of the same family. There are many incidents of mentally handicapped children being born out of such couples.
In parts of Asia, cousins are not brothers-sisters. Certain cousins can marry each other. But even that has reduced a lot keeping this in mind.

If you're serious, then I hope that you realise the genetic risk. I can assure you that there's a high chance that you WON'T have normal children. That aside, looks like you're a loner. So instead of having such thoughts about your sister, get yourself a girl. I'm sure you can at least try. Such relationships are unnatural and you would never have social acceptance. And if she's your elder sister - then wait for some years. I'm sure that you'll grow out of this fantasy.
And do yourself a favor - concentrate on your education for now.

Leaving my personal opinions aside...
You should think about how your children may have problems, physically and mentally as when people have children with siblings there are many birth problems.
As you mentioned you want children together, it's not normally possible to have healthy children with a close relative. (Not physically, medically possible).
Even in countries where this did take place and sometimes still does. There are books and public warnings of the medical problems that will take place to discourage the continuation of any close relative marriage. Even if you don't have physical deformity you will have mental disease as the DNA is weakened by close relations having children.
It's definately unusual to love your sister in such a way (My personal opinion aside as I don't agree with it myself) love is love but there is no medical possibility of having healthy children.

No you can not and the two of you can't have children because if you do they might be deformed due to the lack of new genes and that isn't fare on them.

You know, I loved this question, because of all the answers saying he is so sick or retarted. Now to all you people who are calling this guy sick or strange, I am curious. How many of you will say you find nothing wrong with two fags or with *** marriages. How many of you will be the first to tell someone that if they are not happy in a relationship, to simply leave? How many of you will condone a person dating someone they know is married to another?
I doubt he was serious in what he asked, and I sure dont think he should be able to or want to marry his sister. But then I dont think it right for two guys or two women to marry or have sex either. And many of you will call that being mean or bigoted. Heck, at least this guy likes girls.

That's really unfortunate. However you are unable to marry your sister as it is against the law. If you have any sexual relations with her that is incest and is against the law and finally if you have children with her the possibilities of genetic faults arise and they would not necessarily be beautiful children. I suggest that you seek some sought of counselling, very quickly.

forget it is against the law, you would be lucky if have any normal kids, I met a family, they are bother and sister, have 4 kids all retard almost deformed and less than 1 m tall. It is not a myth but if you learn heredity and genetic, you will understand more.
