Well, normal is just you being YOU, if u ask me. No two persons are the same anywhere and it isn't necessary that what you feel normal should be felt everywhere. Just try not be a pendulum, always swinging from one end to the other and being extreme. Keep a constant and clear mind abt what u want to do. BE YOU...:-)

Went back and read your question. Personally, I thought you had some good answers. You have got to realize that if you ask a question on here, you will get a variety of answers--even some very bad answers.
Normal?? Whatever is enjoyable--seem to be the normal of today. Did your mother and father fight like this?? Do you know of any others doing these things?? I just think you have a very good partner that you both can enjoy the same things. If and when children are there, I really do not think it would be safe. But I think that whatever is enjoy to you both is very OK. Maybe not "normal" (what might happen in most homes)--but who cares. Enjoy your life--and your partner.

It's based on the society you live in. What's considered normal in one culture can be bizarre in another. There are also IQ tests that force people into categories of normal. Score of 100 is considered normal (with a range on either side)...then there are standard deviations and all that statistical stuff! Add to it the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, where you can check off your symptoms to see if you have a mental illness! So if someone just tells you that you're not normal, tell them get their facts straight. Do you feel better now?

normal is mousy, unchallenging, uninteresting. You may not be called normal, onthe other hand, because you will not go to the trouble of communicating with people on a level they understand, and can relate to. Well and good if it does not bother you,...but if it does, then you will have to start to understand and speak there language...a little like living in a foreign country and taking two hours every day to get a glass of water...just because you do not know the 'local' for water.

There is no such thing as normal!!!
I have always said we are all sitting on a 'straight line' (i.e. life) and we are all along that line somewhere, some at one end and some at the other but no one knows where the 'normal' point is.

Normal is being yourself & not letting anyone tell you otherwise. Some might look at people cos they're behaving oddly, but to them, that's normal. Normal is what you, & you alone, are used to.

In the light of psychology, I think the word normal refers to possessing healthy self-esteem. If a person has that, he or she is normal.
