The Totem House Fly, not to be confused with the Horse Fly, that is something completely different.
being that most totem animals are given attributes of the actual physical animals. the totem house fly would clearly and without question represent malodorous annoyance, because everyone knows that flies eat poopy and bother people. Of course the totem could represent a foul breathed pest. either way you get the idea

I agree with Kallan K, but would like to add that the fly also makes use of and gains nourishment from things that others see as "dung". This can point to being able to use that which others pass by and seeing opportunities where others see only a need for clean up....so to speaks. Flies make the most of their environments...whatever it may be. Their short life span points to making the most out of every moment and having no time for regrets.

several actually... Canine, fox, cat, fish, hawk or eagle, dolphin, horse... Canine because of loyalty and caring, Fox because of cunning, Cat because of gracefulness and being able to sneek up on people without meaning to. Hawk or Eagle because I often times feel my very being wanting to fly and hunt. Dolphin because I do my best in the water swimming, and horse because of wanting to run free with no constraints, yet willing to carry the burden if needed. hope this helps.

It means there is a stink going on around you! Somebody stirring up
SCHEET! I guess.
I know the Guardian to the Underworld is supposed to be a Gnat! Or so
Carlos Castanedas teacher told him when he was learning about sorcery!
And one had to try and "see" this creature!
And Jesus made a funny statement about silly people who "strain at a gnat"!
