I heared the portueguse and the Europeans took ship loads ot africans to the middle of the ocean chained in a link and drop the first one off then sat down lit a cigar and waited for the next one to be pulled under and then the next one and the next one and the next one and the next one and the next one ..... ACTIONS LIKE THESE ARE WHY THE RICH COUNTRIES STILL LIVE IN LUXURY...Mistakes are still being made and they dont even care less... invading other countries...destabilising competetion... ALL THE WHILE KEEPING THE LOCAL POPULACE STUPID AND UNAWARE OF THEIR ( THE ELECTED POLITICANS) ACTIONS AND FOREIGN POLICIES... Good Balance of Power!!!

That's quite a leap of logic. And yes, that is why "rich" countries stay "rich" . We're smart. And anyone who thinks that countries are not established on the blood and backs of others has a warped view of the history of the world. Deestablishing competition is a bad thing? Don't tell Walmart. Yes, we live in luxury, freedom and oh yes, we're spoiled. We've fought long and hard for it. And last time I checked we will continue to do so. Most Americans could care less about foreign policy. See, that's how we are; we have such wonderful freedom that we are accustomed to blissful political ignornace so long as we maintain and continue to be willing to fight tooth and nail for the same. Balance of Power? If you find it anywhere let me know. Democracy puts in place a system of "checks and balances" for internal purposes-not foreign. Excuse me now I am going to light one of those big fat cigars and sit down in my warm, cozy home in my nice safe neighborhood, have a big ol' cheeseburger and then watch some reruns of classic American TV. And then when I go to bed tonight I am going to say a prayer for all the Americans that died so I had the right to do that.

I can believe of a couple of evil dictators in sub-Saharan Africa. Why have we no longer moved towards them? Oh yeah, they did not placed a success on Bush's dad's head, like Saddam. Well, we are there now and cannot nearly go away till they may be able to shield themselves. I might be extra worried that Russia and China don't seem to be hanging preasure on Tehran. Perhaps we would cross lighter on Iran if we will be able to get Russia and China to conform to facet-line all leniency if Iran does some thing terrible and/or murderous with their nuclear knowledge. We rather must make certain they under no circumstances can broaden the bomb within the first location, motive finally each and every Middle Eastern monarch and petty 3rd international chief will believe that they've a 'god-given' correct to atomic guns. Bush has no credibility to unfastened anymore so he could as good do the correct factor and stage Iran's more than a few constructions invovled with their nuclear study mission. He might do prison time, if he is stuck, but it surely might be valued at it to make it transparent that noone demands to have nuclear guns.

You have been filled with lies and 1/2 truths.

Think of this. Just why would a sea captain and his crew want to waste there part of the money to be made by killing off the slaves. Yes it was bad to put men and women in chains. The US stopped that over 100years ago. Slavery died in a war that was a true blood bath. Slavery was the normal back then and it was very wide spread all over the world.

If you are so us set by slavery 100 years ago. Why are you not up set by it today. It is going on and growing fast. Look it up.

The rich countries are rich because they found out one thing. You get richer if you live free and all have the chance to clime to the top.

I agree with Just M - GREED. Our people complain about gas prices while sloshing down bottled water and driving as guzzler cars. The rich care nothing for the poor other than a tax deduction as charity.

I have not heard of this as a regular occurrence during slavery - surely those who trafficked in humans would have tried to preserve their investment - no money in killing off your stock. And you must remember that most African slaves were sold to traffickers by their own people and most continuing sales to slavery is of children by their families

The sin most often cursed by Jesus was apathy - it is important to care about these things, research them carefully and educate the world in the realities.
