Do you think its proper to display Nativity scenes or Christmas trees on government/public property.

Yes it is proper. Christmas is celebrating the birth of christ and Are government was founded on christians values and the declaration of independance was written on these values. I think it is totally appropriate.

the Christmas tree has its roots in the Germanic customs long before Christianity came into being. as far as the Nativity scene what harm could this do in being displayed as it represents a birth nothing else.

Yes, in a Christian country, why not. Might not go down very well in Saudi Arabia though.

When the majority of our country is christian I don't see the problem and if it offends you look the other way.....
