Wow...excellent question! I know that piracy still exists in the open seas--especially near the Strait of Malacca (near Singapore and Malaysia) and off the African coasts. But I don't know who the greatest living pirate is and my guess is if we knew then I'm sure he would've been captured by now.

The only living pirates operate small ships in the orient. I doubt I could spell any of their names. If thats the kind of piracy you mean - incidentally still punishable by death in the UK.

Or maybe you mean the person in London who copies the most dvds and flogs them at a market place?
