When you grow up in a city, it's easy to take it for granted. I grew up in a very old town, cycled through it a lot but never walked through the narrow streets in the centre. Only when I moved to Edinburgh, and walked through that monumentally gorgeous city, did I discover that you're absolutely right. So many little 'closes' to be discovered, beautiful vistas you think only you would have discovered.. When I moved back to my own city I was thrilled to find out I could do the same there. That said, it was most fun finding dark alleyways in the otherwise pretty bland city of Manchester, and snog a girl there.

yes I do everyday. I live in a small town in the Ozarks and walk at least 2 miles everyday. I lived in Seattle for 30 years (Boeing) and Seattle is a great city to walk in

I think about every street there is. I left fliers on peoples doors trying to get a free art group together. Plus I'm near the downtown area and the library. By the way you might wish to check out a book called The Rainbow Goblins, its a childrens book but the artwork is not to be believed. Enjoy.

Can't imagine not walking the streets of my city, town or village or even rural area (having lived in all, as well as what was more like back country near wilderness areas).

But, of course. I lived in a small town and was always out walking. If I lived in a big city, I would enjoy it even more.

I have walked the streets many times in my city but it can be very dangerous...I always prefered to go to the hiking trails and look at nature...

we (hubby and i) love to walk, when we visit a new city/town we always assign a couple of days just to tour the city on foot for hours and hours, Greece on foot was awesome
