Is there more of a chance that I could get pregnant on the white pills?

The white pills are just sugar pills (placebos) to keep you in the routine of taking the pill every day. They have no hormones in them. However, you are supposed to be on your period while you are on the white pills. The pack of BC pills are made so you are protected for the entire month of your cycle, including your period. So just make sure you take your pills at the same time (or as good as you can get) every day and you will be 99.9% protected.

Yes.
Have your doctor explain it to you, but the one week of different pills allow you to have your period. That's the only difference. Birth control pills protect you the entire month.
