Tell them you want a gift card instead. Tell them it would save them on shipping costs, plus it would be part of the gift. You know, the shopping part. Tell them you LOVE to shop and it would be a total blast to pick stuff out yourself. Tell them you will send them photos of you in the garments. And say thank you! If they insist on sending you clothes/shoes, just know that their heart is in the right place and that you will have to donate the clothes. In fact, you could let them know in a thank you note later that, "The thoughtful gift you sent for Christmas this year did not fit after all. So I donated it in your name to my church." Or where ever you donate stuff to. That might be a little harsh, but sometimes people don't get it unless you are really blunt. Did you already tell them you ALWAYS have to give it away? If you didn't do that yet, you probably should. I like the gift card option best.

men do not like receiving presents, I bet you he would like it if you took the money and took him out for the day drinking, fishing or to the dogs or something like that instead.
