Only two bills got passed. Everything else was left for the democrats when they take office. Was congress trying to leave a message? Or did they leave the dirty work so they can blame everything on the democrats?

Clever maybe, they left all the spending bills unfunded. This could indeed have been a concerted effort to force these matters into the Democrats lap. Especially given the level of discord in the country for out of control spending. However, there is also the possibility that they felt there wouldn't be much bi-partisan effort this late in the session. So rather than prolong the end they may have chosen to go quietly into that dark night.

not mad, maybe going crazy to get home since this is the end of this years current session. bills passed in haste have caused a great deal of congressional scorn by the public and ended up being challenged later, or laws enacted in haste causeing costly litigation in the high court. give the lawful legislative processes the due deliberation they prudently deserve
