Traffic usually is worse during the evening rush hour on Christmas Eve, but this year, with Christmas being on Monday, most people will finish work on Friday and I expect the worst of the traffic will be on Friday evening and Saturday. I should expect Sunday will be fairly quite on the roads - well that's my opinion.

Expect the traffic to be very quiet, everyone will be tucked up in doors with a hot toddy..... Depends where in London you are going but I would guess about half the normal sunday traffic. Once people are home from work on christmas eve they tend to stay in doors. Because xmas eve is a sunday they will be all shopped out by saturday and will stay in doors.

Should be a breeze and of course no congestion charge!

You may get some small delays at each end but the Brighton/London road is very good so I would not worry too much.
