I am English, and have found that ever since using this site my vocabulary has changed dramatically! Well, my knowledge of vocabulary has at least.

Before Y/A I had no clue what jell-o, jam or a Limey was.

You had never heard of jell-o or jam? I take it you never went shopping or looked in the cupboard/refrigerator all that often. Jam is what I put on toast and bagels since I was old enough to hold a butter knife (among other things, of course) and Jell-o was advertised on television by no less a celebrity than Bill Cosby for those who didn't enjoy this translucent, springy treat themselves.

I'm Canadian,but very familiar with British slang because my parents are British.I love seeing British people taking about bands like Sugababes and Atomic Kitten because most Canadians and Americans have no clue who these bands are.

3)Tony Blair = prime minister.

5) Football = soccer and soccer = football.
6) Lue = bathroom.

I havent really learned any as I have spent half my life in England and have an English mother, I am American by the way

I've learned some phrases here and there, I love British slang and one of my favorite things to say now is "C of E"

I have heard product names that I didn't know existed. Interstate Batteries, Dennys (fast food chain I think). I have heard the term "shiv" a lot but have no idea what one is.
