get her something to pamper herself with. Foot soaker, back massager...something that helps her relax. Or a photo frame with a nice picture of the 2 of you...or a gift card to somewhere she has been wanting to go. Or maybe just a day off and do things you enjoy.

I find it really hard to beat jewelry for special occasions. The trick is in being original and getting something unique that fits her personality. Look at her clothes and the degree of "flash" she likes. Shopping online gives you a wide choice too - plus you don't have the crowd hastles. Try http://www.bellasperanza.com for something out of the ordinary. Or do a search for something specific you are looking for. You can DO it!

why dont you get her something special and romantic? like lets see, something that represents the every year she had lived through, like baby shoes representing her baby days, a special thing which represents her year during her childhood, you can hide her marriage ring wrap it nicely representing the year you and her got married and for each year wrap them up, and give it to her with a beautiful written card, i am sure she would feel touched,

How about buying her a package deal from a spa? Most women would not expect it & they usually run holiday sales!

A thoughtful boyfriend;)
You'd lose that bet.
What I meant, is that it should be YOU putting in some serious thought as to your wife's dreams, likes, dislikes. That's what's meaningful about a gift from a significant other. Not asking a milion strangers about some generic gift for some generic wife. If you truly knew her, you wouldn't need to ask.
