Do you think its possible for people to have same-sex fantasies and that to be where it begins and ends...JUST a fantasy? As in, not something they would or intend to act on. Or do you think this is just a manifestation of unfufilled same-sex desires that will eventually come out and/or get bigger to the point where the person feels they need more than just the fantasy?
Note- please don't try to give me personal advice on this, as I'm not asking about this from my experience, just hypothetically. Also, please don't tell me about how being gay, or having same sex attractions is wrong. I don't care to hear that whining.

It is possible. (I'll be using the word "your" or "you" from here on in, though I don't mean you personally, it's just easier to write it without having to go back and reword everything to go with "they.")
In your head, in your fantasies, you can do whatever you want and safely. Having same-sex fantasies doesn't necessarily mean your gay, it just means that you have an open mind and are willing to use your imagination. It probably also means you're not a homophobe, as well, though I would suggest to anyone with same-sex fantasies who ARE homophobes to look a little deeper. heheh
Maybe, just maybe, it may become more than a fantasy, but that doesn't mean you're gay either. Just experimental or curious, wanting to further the fantasy and make them a little more real. Maybe after experimenting with same-sex partners, the fantasies will fade because you realize it's better in your head than it is in real life.
I'd also like to point out that same-sex DREAMS are not the same as same-sex FANTASIES. In dreams, it means something deeper, as it's your subconcious mind making it. In fantasies, you are the one in full control.
Pretty much, it's like having fantasies of being tied up or imagining someone calling you degrading names. Just cuz you masturbate to that, doesn't mean you wanna actually try it.

I believe one of Kinsey's conclusions was that no one is absolutely heterosexual or homosexual. This was the basis for his scale of sexual orientation. (If I'm wrong about this, sorry).

If this is the case, then yes, you can have same-sex fantasies of the type you're talking about where there is no intention of fulfilling them. This is similar to fantasizing about being a spy or a killer or something else that you wonder about it but you would be very unlikely to be able to fulfill much less actually wanting to go out and fulfill it.

On the other hand, I have some friends that are into BDSM who say that there is an inside joke about this type of topic. The joke goes that one makes a list of all the things they would never, ever do and then goes back six months later and says, "I did that and that and..." It is certainly possible that one could have same-sex fantasies and some situation comes up down the road where the possibility arises for fulfillment. Remember, it's up to the person to decide whether they want to continue or not. That's true for any type of fantasy fulfillment.

I do think its possible for people to have same-sex fantasies, and just leave it there to fantasies, coz i think it really depends on what gets u off in fantasy world. For some people the crazier, sexier, dirtier , the better. And that doest necessarily mean it has to happen in real life.
