I'm afraid not.

The term 'blue moon' had two meanings. The first and most obvious is when the moon appears blue through dust particles in the atmosphere, for example after forest fire in Sweden in the early fifties or after Krakatoa in 1883 after which the moon appeared blue for decades.

Another meaning of the term comes from the fact that there are four calendar quarters in a year and each has a full moon. However the lunar calendar has thirteen four week periods and therefore sometimes a calendar month will have two full moons. .so this year (2006) the blue moon was the second full moon in June. . next year it will be in May.

So, the phrase 'once in a blue moon' means pretty rarely.
