I've only just heard about it, and I live in Kent. Worrying ... What happened?

Northwest London suburb...130-mile-per-hour winds...did some damage to buildings, injured several people, but nobody was killed. Dang, that stuff's rare for you guys, huh? I read an online article from the UK Telegraph, and somebody was quoted saying, "We knew it was a tornado because we've seen them in the films." Wow. Rare, but not unheard of, I gather.

no you didn't miss anything, but the poor souls who lived thru it didn't miss a thing, some have no houses to live in,funny how we can all sit at home with our fires warm, lets hope we never have to see one up close and personal, in this country, seen one in hong Kong 30 years ago not very nice thing to see, picked up a 10,000 ton ship from the harbour and threw it on to one of the islands.and the lost of life was appalling, then the digging of bodies out of the wreckage, from collapsed shelters,be thankful for small mercies
