That's what my friend says - while drunk I told her about this site. (I'm sorry, I broke the circle of trust didn't I?) - I thought she'd be impressed but she wasn't. Told me I was 'sad and disturbed' and that I needed to get out more.

I tried to explain the joy of asking and answering but she was having none of it.

Will I ever recover?

No I am constantly surprised by how caring and intelligent people are.The answers show just how in touch some people are- others display wicked senses of humour, some show niavity. Some are barking ! A complete cross section of life and great fun!She is the boring one ---not clever enough to understand it all!----You will recover just remember Don't cast your pearls before swine

Well if she is even vaguely right, there are an awful lot of sad and disturbed people out there including you, me and everyone that has read and answered this question. I really enjoy this site but I certainly don't sit here 24/7 or anything like that. I simply 'tune in' perhaps every other day for ten minutes or so when I check my email ..... this is a wonderful place to exchange ideas, humour and advice and providing you can filter out the sick ones and the sharks, it is a wonderful place to exchange information. I am afraid that your friend is simply blinkered and short sighted ...... but odds on she checked the site out herself at some other time! And yes, of course you will recover ... you already have ... just remember you have a vast collection of people out there to talk to and swop ideas ....... has she got that?
Have a great Xmas ...!

digital citadel by using Dan Brown (it starts off good and all, however the top.... i stumbled on it unhappy) The lost image by using Dan Brown (yeah, i like this guy) Fuyia no Semi / a.ok.a: iciness Cicada(s) (i dont understand if its surely real, yet ive heard its unhappy) (its eastern, so it must be spelled distinctive) How I stay Now by using ( i forget approximately who the author is) that's an excellent, unhappy e book. its writen in first-guy or woman, so its slightly exciting to study, yet i think of you will possibly like it. wish this facilitates:) in case you're open to examining manga/observing anime i reccomend Higurashi and Elfen Lied. Higurashi is stressful!!! there are posters of a wild-eyed chick, with blood splatters on her face, shes giggling. below that it says SLAUGHTER it cant be spelled with out LAUGHTER.

Sad, no (although my doc wants me tested for depression)
Disturbed, well....
A little twisted would better describe me.
Don't try to convert anybody. It doesn't work. Mama just rolls her eyes and asks when I'll be done with that stupid answers thing.

Hey, just put on some Scissor Sisters and dance round your living room.
Then come back and tell us more.
I'm listening to the Jacksons, actually it's just changed to Kylie - Spinning Around.
Must leave you. There's a big empty space in my living room that needs to be danced in!!

Sad and disturbed?, nope - this is just a form of entertainment that's better than 99% of the stuff on TV these days - 1200 channels and absolutely stuff-nothing to watch.
(stuff-nothing = even less than stuff-all)

You are so cute!
Why doesn't your friend see the joy?
Friend may be right, but if we are sad and disturbed..we are sad and disturbed TOGETHER as one mass sad disturbed living breathing organism.
and we like it like that!!
