I have been in court a few times, and it would seem that the US constitution is no longer in effect. For example, I was found guilty by a court convened by the Environmental protection Agency for selling my hand-printed t-shirts on the street, even though I proved that I had a constitutional right to do so. Once I asked for a jury trial for a $50 parking ticket, but my request was denied even though the constitution clearly states that I am entitled to a jury trial for any matter exceeding $40. I am beginning to believe that the US government has secretly cancelled the constitution, perhaps through a secret Executive order. Is this possible?

To the person who stated that I need a license- Any person can sell a painted portrait or a newsletter on any public street with no need for a license. I find unfair that my hand printed t-shirt was not considered to have the same artistic or social merit that a portrait or a newsletter enjoys.

to the person who called me a liar, check your facts.

Sandy- I don't know how or why the EPA is involved in the matter of people selling things on the street. In New York City, if you are caught selling on the street you get a summons to appear at the EPA court. It makes no sense to me.

Your question lacks specific details.
Why would the EPA be interested in you selling T-shirts on a street corner? The only possible reason is that the Ink was toxic.

I personally have appealed a Parking ticket on won. The legal process allows people due process. No one that I know of would ever seek a Jury trial for a $ 50.00 parking ticket.

My spouse recently got a $ 100.00 ticket for parking in a Handicapped zone. She has a handicap, but did not have the Sticker with her at the time. I went to the police station and talked with the Police chief. The Police chief rescinded the ticket and refunded the $ 100.00.

Now, there are a few techniques in appealing what you believe are wrongful decisions against you. Seek the advice of an attorney.

Also, join the ACLU. I belong to the ACLU and they are constantly in court challenging legal decisions.

The ACLU has taken this Administration to court several times and has won favorable decisions.

I assure you that the Constitution is alive and well. You need to know how the system works and what Legal recourse is available to you.

A side note here: The reason that Illegal immigrants are so successful in being in this country Illegally is this:

They use Human Rights as a defense and most are successful.

1) you need a permit in order to sell anything on private property. if its on the street, you need a vendor's license from the state,
2) why would you want a jury trial for a civil matter? YOU do realize that jury trials are only for felony and criminal cases. Civil cases like parking tickets are not required to have a jury trial. its been that way for over a hundred years.

You obviously do not undertsand the constitution, nor the law.
