Sure, you can wear black and purple together. Black is one of a list of neutral colors (black, white, gray, brown and navy blue) that goes with anything. You can wear these colors with anything (including each other) and be sure that it matches. Black and brown? Perfectly okay. Black and navy? Again, perfectly okay. Navy and orange? Sounds like it might be yucky, but guess what? Matches just fine. There are also certain patterns, like tweeds and pinstripes, that can act as neutrals, which is why suits in this patterns are considered to be basic and essential buys for a wardrobe. They go with about everything.

Is it a greenish black or a blueish black or what? I mean seriously, and this goes for all of you, take out every thing you own that is black and lay them on the bed. You will see that most are a different shade or hue of black. Generally speaking, yes black does go with purple. But if you out it on and are having doubts, compare that same purple thing to a different black you have in your closet.

Yes! Black is one of the magic colors and medium purple works perfectly with it.

As long as it's a true black or a blue-black, you're OK. Black dyes actually have various hues, and you want to stay away from those that have a greenish or yellowish cast to them (at least when matching them with purple).

I'm not a fashion guru, but I would say yes. Black is a neutral color like white and gray. Neutral colors tend to match with everything.

Absolutely! Needs to be black-black though.
Actually, I cant really think of anything else it would go with, especially when you consider you need black shoes.

I'd say so but remember it's all about the confidence you show when wearing it. Do Kanye West and Pharrell always always show good dress sense? No, but they have a swagger and a atitude that says who cares I look cool. Andre 3000 is the perfect example!!!

It matches but it is not the best choice...with purple u betta go for light colors...white and purple will look much betta
