Men are usually attracted to women. Women are usually attracted to men. So, on average, are gays and lesbians back the front in some ways(gay men more feminine than lesbians and vica versa)

There has been some recent published research that suggests homosexuals react to their own gender in a similar manner to their heterosexual counterparts. This reaction is at the brain function level. Thus, gay men, when shown images of other men, have brain activity patterns similar to those of heterosexual women when shown similar stimuli. I believe other research has indicated this for lesbians, too.

In terms of behavior, the only real comparison you can make is within the same gender. I've known some lesbians that are play up the femme side but are kick-*** lawyers that I wouldn't ever, ever want on the other side of a lawsuit. Are they more masculine? In some ways that are classified such by society, but not in others.

The cover doesn't always reflect the contents.

I'm very happy to see so many people taking this question seriously and not just blasting you as a homophobe without any proof. Bravo, people!
I'm pretty much with all the others. I've met gay men who are fairly feminine, but also gay men who are very masculine. I've met straight men that have had to fight off people thinking they were gay just because they acted slightly feminine, also. Can't say I've met many lesbians, but I pretty much figure that's the same for them also: some are very girly, some are very manly, some are neither.

You must not know many queer people. I've met gay men who are more masculine than the toughest man you know. I've also met lesbians who are more feminine than straight women.

Obviously, your opinions have been jaded by watching too much television. I can guarantee you that you know 5 people right now who are actually gay or lesbian and you have no idea whatsoever because they don't act like walking, talking stereotypes.

Sexual orientation is very different from gender identity and gender expression.

A gay man could be very masculine but be attracted to men, while a lesbian could be very feminine and be attracted to womyn. The same womon could be very masculine.
