here i m trying to download a text file.it gives massage that it is to long to open in notepad, do u like to open it in wordpad? it down load after pressing yes. when i m trying to open it after downloading i can't read it, because it is in diffrent format than normal character.mean it is not in readable format.what should i do to read that file?

If files are too big you have this problem. You cannot read it because the line are to big. So format it by pressing the enter key at middle of the line.
We use textpad in such situation. http://www.textpad.com/ . If you are not using it commercially you can download and use it for free.
Also you will not have such problem if you Unix editor.

Right click on the file and see in properties if it was originally a text file or some other kind of file.

u can solve this problem as follows....
Here i just explain u with an example....
let the name of ur file be 'c:\xyz.bbb'
open MS dos...switch to C: prompt now type
c:\>ren xyz.bbb xyz.txt
the problem will be solved....bye...
