Iran will treat all visitors like KINGS, they always have and always will! Its part of their propaganda against the WEST! They want you to go back saying its fine over their. They dont even mess with their own JEW population, they live in peace. But, dont expect the normal population to talk to you much about their suppressions, they will get in trouble for that. You will be fine over their.

oo I love it there. I would suggest you go to Tehran first and then Isfahan because they have a best sites (i think) Everything is so much cheaper with US Dollars there and don't forget you can bargain with most of the sales person to lower the price!! (they usually do!) People are nice, just let me warn you about crossing the street! Cross with someone who has experience cause it freaked me out the first couple of times!! lol.
Have fun!!

Iran is good as long as u r Western ~ most give u respect.
But if u happen to be from their neighboring countries, they won't never give u a good time. I have been there twice and have a first hand experience.

I visited last spring. People welcomed me quite warmly, although I understand some talked behind my back after I left. Iranians will always be extremely hospitable and welcoming, but it may or may not be genuine.
