I agree, if you are unsure, that it the best indicator. IT IS MUCH MORE DIFFICULT EMOTIONALLY ON A WOMAN!

Plus, odds are it will RUIN your friendship!

As others have said, and I'll restate it here: The way to tell that you are not ready is that you are 'unsure' of what do do.

I'm pretty sure that at 14, you're not able to be a parent. Most places won't let you even have a job until you're 16. [Note: 'not able' means that, while yes you can have a kid, in all likelihood, one of your parents would be taking care of it or it would go into foster care.]

If you _do_ decide to do it, at least use a condom. You may be in one of those areas where they tell you in school that abstinence (i.e. not doing it) is better that using a condom. This is not always the case. Actively trying not to do something will almost always make you want to do it more. This is human nature. A condom is the next best thing in case the abstinence doesn't work out as planned. (It happens more often than you think or than they'll tell you.)

I agree, that is risking way too much. One of my mom's friends has a place that is called a "house of refuge" it is for unwed moms. and just the other day, i met a girl that was 11 and was a 7 months pregnant. There is no way that she could have possibly been ready for that commitment. It really isn't worth that much of a risk. Condoms don't always work, when that commercial says 99.9% that is what they mean, that little .1% can make such a big difference. I know, i now have a nephew because of that .1%, there is no way to be sure, except by just staying away from the situation totally. I am 15 and i am still a virgin and proud of it. I actually have this guy that has been begging me, and you know what i say every time "no". Because, like i said, it just isn't worth the risk, especially if you don't really care for the dude.

noooo, you are way too young and he shouldnt be asking you to lose it to him if hes your friend. You will regret it, theres a chance you can get pregnant and ruin your whole life. Youll have to get a job, maybe stop going to school, then he will leave you and you'll be raising the kid alone. Im not trying to be all dramatic but what your talking about is very serious especially since you just a kid

For the love of god, no!

14 is WAY to young. Tell him to keep it in his pants.

I'm not saying that you need to wait for marriage or anything, but you should at least wait until you are in a committed relationship. You don't want to lose your v-card to just anybody. Trust me, sleeping with a friend will only make things extremely awkward between the two of you.

First off...who is Rogelio? Is that your boyfriend?

Secondly, you say when you hit 14 so I reckon you are 13 now. I think you should finish HS and get on your way to college before you think about losing "it". In other words you are too young and you may regret later on in life for not waiting.

Now go do your homework!

You are too young. No you shouldn't you will regret it someday if you do. trust me I did at your age and he wasn't worth it, I wish I wouldn't of.
Also I had a friend who got pregnant at 14, the second time her and her b/f had sex. She's had a hard life since then.
Please wait while longer, at least until you are about to graduate and then rethink it.
If he's really a friend he will respect your decision and wait.
