When I was busy with my thesis.... I worked non-stop for 2 days without sleeping just as I was about to save the power went off.... I sometimes think I am a universal joke.

Several years ago on Thanksgiving day... right smack in the middle of cooking the Holiday dinner. No one around had power either... so we got the barbecue going and put up the old turkey in there.... along with a couple baked potatoes..... not quite what we had in mind for the days feast. But, what the heck, it worked.

We were in the school gym a couple of years ago,when the power went off. That was undoubtedly the darkest dark I have ever seen!!

I always used to joke when my family and I were watching t.v. together, we would be all into the show and the highlight was about to come up for example the killer was about to be revealed, well on parts like that I would say "oh and what if the cable goes out..."
well one day while watching flavor of love when the winner was to be announced the cable went out.
I was laughing so hard. it actually happened after all those years of me saying it.

During a forest fire near my community (Northern Canada, intensely rural). Shortly after the lights flickered, EMO evacuated part of the community. Most people left... the rest of us stayed to fight the fire. No showers, ash and soot, endangered houses and heavy labour for four days...

Filming myself getting a hummer from my girls mom and just when I was about to get the money shot. DAMN IT!! The lights went out and I didn't manage to get it.
