When you're very young you count "HALF'S"... I'm 5 and a HALF, i'm 6 and a HALF... like you're yearning to make it to the next year. Then you get to 10!! WHOA, Double Digits! 11, 12, then the magical TEEN gets added in! at Sixteen you can drive, at Eighteen you're not a kid anymore, you can vote and smoke. You're looking forward to having a beer with your cigarette and when you're 21 you can chug it!. After 21, you start to realize that life isn't all sunshine and farts. It's full of good times, but a lot of B.S.... bills, insurance, hassle, work, marriage, divorce... kids. Then you get almost to 30 and start getting scared. I mean, c'mon, you probably remember your parents being in their 30's when you were little. At 30 you realize how painfully fast the years fly by now, and much you wish you were 12 again... but only if you could take your 30 year old brain back with you and do it all over again. Now the years fly by like paper in the wind and you're PUSHING 40... you're over the hill at 50, you're gaining speed on the downhill and OMG!! you HIT 60. After that you Reach 70, become 80, MAKE IT to 90 and when you're 100 it all starts over again... i'm 100 and a HALF!!!

Everything! Your body and brain will have stopped growing and changing around 25 years old so you should now be at home in both! You can start making decisions based on what you really want not what your hormones or fears dictate. People will take you more seriously around this age and you have had some 20 years decision making experience already. Be confident and push forward - this is the age I found and married my soul mate. You say you are happy now - share that with someone else or if you are already doing that then share your good fortune with the less fortunate - you would be surprised what that does for you.

oh sweety you have no idea. The best is definitely yet to come. I'm 42, life rocks. At 27 I was doing the baby thing, which was great. Now they are off studying which means my time is my own. I've got my weight under control, my finances under control (more or less) Looking great, feeling better, happy confident and looking forward to the future.

I have a friend, who was 46 when I was born (how's your maths) Who is still enjoying life every bit as much as I am, so I'm hopeful the trend will continue.

All I can say is that old age is brutal and it comes really fast so live it up while you can.

27 is a sweet spot where you are not too young and stupid, yet not too old and saggy. You should really milk the next 3-5 years for all you can get out of them.

I'm 39 and I will tell you that old age is rough, so live it up now.

I'd say 33-35 is about the perfect age. You finally grow into your looks and body; you have enough life experience to be interesting; you've had time to secure real tangible friendships based on deep history and respect; and you have a sense of just what you want out of life. Sex definately gets much, much better too.

You have so much more to look forward to.

:-)

Everything Lovetheshwee said, I agree with, especialy the part about sex being better. You simply enjoy it much more on a new level of maturity--it just fels better, is more passionate, and more interesting.

In fact, I think most of what has been said by your answerers is true.

It gets so much better. But don't believe everything, after about 65, it is definately downhill (or so I've heard).

From my experience, 27 years of age and my life offered maturity, patience, scholarship, compassion, etc.

More of the same. More opportunities, greater experience, another beautiful day in the life of living.

The question is with how much love do you tackle this game called life? Do you conquer it or do you let yourself be conquered by it and become smaller?

It's no different than life at 37, 47, 57, life is always the same, it's your outlook that changes.

Everything. It's great that you're happy now, but part of being human is that we're always looking for more, the next challenge, the next experience.
So decide what you want to do next, and go do it!
