Monistat treats vaginal yeast infections. Relieves external itching and irritation due to a vaginal yeast infection. You can see what it looks like if you go to the link. The 7 day creams/vaginal suppositories are supposed to be most effective. There brands other than Monistat that also cure yeast infections but Monistat is the most popular.

If you have alot of yeast infections, you may want to eat Yogurt. It really helps. Make sure the one you get says it is a live culture. Also if your infection does not get better with over the counter meds, then see a Gynecologist. Sometimes when you think it is yeast it could be a bacterial infection, which needs to be treated with antibiotics.

Monistat is an insert. If this is your first infection you may want to see a doctor though first. I think Monistat 3 is good. You insert one for 3 days before bed. It usually works really well. Canistan never works for me and they are a little bit more uncomfortable to insert.

Monistat is a medicine that comes in the form of a little 'egg' that comes with a little aplicator that insert up into your vagina. Canestan is the same thing but works ALOT better, as it comes in a hard 'pill' form and stays where it's supposed to!
