Well first off, he is a very young guy, playing this last season at 19 years of age. No doubt this guy has already made a very solid contribution though. He hit .310 and slugged over .500 in his first season in pro ball. The kid is an absolute stud. He was selected with there Cardinals first pick, he swings a left handed stick and runs a 6.7 60 which is FLYING. He also got gunned at 90+ from the outfield. In my opinion, I see him making some big plays for the big club soon, but probably not for 2+ years.

Below is a link to his minor league stats - good numbers, but since he's only 20 years old and in A-ball, I'd guess he's at least 2-3 years from the majors.

What about him? Stats, age, personality?
He is a solid prospect, but I wouldn't call him a soon to be major leaguer at this point. He's probably 2-3 years away, and I've seen many-a can't miss prospect fade out in AA.

I would say that he will make his major league debut once Jim Edmonds retires. I also think that the Cardinals should trade him to get pitching help for next season. Because he could easily fade out once he gets to the higher minor league levels.
