Oh my gosh! Ya know? I agree. I think that the courts are taking everything way too seriously. yah know, by taking the 10 commandments down from that courthouse and not letting little kids celebrate christmas in public schools. This country was founded on Christianity and that is the way it should stay. not necessarily an all christian country but I think that no one should take the 10 commandments away. Once again this COUNTRY WAS FOUNDED ON AND BY CHRISTIANITY BY OUR FORE FATHERS and that is the way it should stay. Great question by the way

No. And actually many of the "Founding Fathers" we Freemasons, etc. They were Christian by default (most Caucasian people were and still are born into families who define themselves as Christians) but it doesn't mean they were religious or heavily practicing.

American law is not based on Christian theology, but secular ideals. Therefore we have to be careful about calling it a Christian country. It's just a land filled with a lot of Christians. Just like Turkey is not an Islamic country because it's written laws are not based on Islam. It's just a land filled with lots of Muslims.

Also, why would people who want to come to America need to become Christian if they aren't already? What about the American-born Jews, Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists, Atheists, Agnostics? Why do you imply all Americans are Christians?

A Nation itself cannot be Christian. Its an individual choice each person must make for themselves. Now would the US be a better place to live if everyone was truly a Christian and lived by Christian values yes it would but reality says that will not happen.

If America becomes a Christian nation, that means no separation of church and state. Personally, I believe that someone should be able to choose freely what he or she wants to follow, esp. since dictating any type of belief causes a lot of rebellion. There are too many conflicts all over the world because of religion. Let's not make Christianity one of them.

I don't think that is the answer. People should be able to have whatever religion they want. That doesn't stop people from going around and witnessing about their religion to others. And I am so sick and tired of the 'Bible Thumper' thing. I am a Christian and I speak to those who want to hear it. I don't force my religion on anyone and I do not .. thump .. my Bible. God Bless.

In society where religion does not exist they have rarely any murder, are a very calm and happy soceity and tend to help one another no matter the situation. Unfortunately these societies are only a very few tribes that are left over around the world. America would be best if we just got rid of the promotion of any religion, got rid of all the churches and temples, etc and just worshipped whomever we wanted at home. Besides, that's what most gods I have researched wanted anyhow.....Ironic isn't it? I am an atheist so I'm just glad I'm not brainwashed any longer..... be well, Jack

this nation was founded on the bible and God, but that's asking a lot, since this country has tried so much to delete him from society and in their lives...

good luck-
