No, Robin Williams is just a really high functioning person, but he can play a lot of serious roles (One Hour Photo, Insomnia, and The Night Listener) to name a few. On top of that, I read an article in AARP Magazine that he has a wife of 17 years, two sons, and a daughter.

At first I thought you were talking about Robbie Williams the singer but then realised it was Robin Williams the actor. He doesn't seem gay to me but I guess stranger things have happened. I don't remember him admiting it though and he's got a family as far as I know. They are probably just messing with you to play the joke back on you.
