Hello guys. I dislocated my shoulder 3 weeks ago playing basketball, and I am wondering when I can get back in action. So far the healing process has been excellent, no swelling and no pain unless i raise it above my head. Anyone know whats the best case senario? Any words of comfort? [=

Depending on how far it was dislocated you may have repeat dislocations as your tendons and ligaments have been overstretched. The solution to this (if future dislocations happen)is an operation were they shorten the ligaments so your shoulder has more stability.
Because you wont be using your injured shoulder much while it heals, you will lose muscle mass and strength so as it heals, light shoulder exercises will slowly build your strength back up.
With the inclusion of some light weights your shoulder will be strong as before,if not stronger.

been there done it myself but not playing basketball I play wheelchair rugby or murderball as some call it popped it back in myself with help from a wall and a friend hurt for about 2 weeks and was fine in 7 back to my old self I've popped each shoulder over 7 times usually takes a month and a half to 2 months to get back to normal use unless its not popped back in correctly which happened the first time then it took 11 weeks
