DO NOT put him back in his bowl, please. bettas are not happy in bowls, they like any other fish, produce waste. it is unhealthy for them. they should be in a tank with a heater and filter. he is MUCH better off in his new tank, good choice.
bettas are fine with other fish as long as the other fish you choose aren't other bettas, aren't aggressive and don't have long or flowy fins.
so good ideas would be cherry barbs, mollies, some ofm the slow tetras, platies, and since your tank is big enough you could even have angelfish. you really want to pick each fish carefully though too, don't pick ones that are all over the tank at the pet store, pick mellow ones. you have to make sure the new tank mates won't nip at betta's fins.
hope that helps, good luck with your new tank!

Please don't send him back to the fishbowl! Poor guy, like going from heaven back to a prison cell... I'm sure he is MUCH happier.
You can definitely add some tankmates in that big a tank though. Avoid other bettas (even females,) gouramis, paradise fish, and fancy guppies. Bettas can be happy with peaceful fish like small tetras, danios, platies. I've read they're fine with angels, too, since you've got so much space, but be careful if you get a breeding pair of angels. They go from peaceful to extremely aggressive when defending their nest.
Good luck with it, and congrats on a happy betta. :)

If he's not freaked by all that sudden space, and if you cycled the tank before putting him in, he'll be fine. Just make sure you don't add another male betta, no long-finned fish that the betta will chew on their fins, no aggressive fish. They seem to do well with fish that sort of look like female bettas (platies, swordtails). If you have enough plants to create different territories, hiding places, cover if one fish is being picked upon, etc., he will be just fine. Make sure your quarantine any new fish for a minimum of 2 weeks to make sure they are not ill or diseased before putting them into the big tank--and make sure to stick around in case of aggression.

Wow 75 gallons? Your betta should be fine dont take him out, just dont put any other bettas in there! other fish should be okay, as long as they dont have big fins. but in case you do get them, make sure they have plenty of hiding spaces. but i dont recomend you get big finned fish.

Bettas are aggressive toward other bettas and do not like to be around any other fish really. I would move the betta back for its own good.

Wow? 75 gallons? That a bit much for such a small fish. I'd suggest keeping him in his bowl. Instead, put other fish into the big tank.

If you want to put other fish in that very large tank you have to move him back. They are solitary fish.
