Some people say global warming is a hoax perpetrated by Liberals. Why are they doing it?

Sorry, Liberals didn't start this FACT. Scientists did. Glaciers melting at an alarming rate, rising ocean waters, screwy weather patterns, ocean and air currents discombobulated, holes in the Ozone, even in Antarctica.. We are polluting our air at an ever-alarming rate. 3rd World countries are still using leaded gas, coating our food through rain, animal and birds feces, with lead. There is still Acid rain falling on our food. Not from tobacco smokers, but from real polluters. ( gas-guzzling vehicle users, corporations who won't filter their smoke stacks, etc) Good grief, I could go on until our Planet goes back to the cockroaches and ants and other insects. They will adapt. And it won't be far off, unless we change our ways quick enough to stop it. Maybe Iran and/or North Korea will get THE bomb, and all this will be moot. Good luck to all the younger people who will be having to try to live and cope with the all troubles of this Planets States of Affairs during your life. I'm NOT liberal, just an old fart that uses common sense to make it through life. And I listen to everyone, keeping my eyes open, and I adapt as best as I can. We, as a PEOPLE back in my youth, made it through some tough and scary times. I hope your generation WILL do the same. You have the tools, capability, and knowledge, just get your **** together.

Because liberals are such an easy target. The hoax is really for the people that have come up with lame computer models that 'predict' the future weather. Unfortunately these models do not reflect reality. But so many people beleive that if a computer says this is the way it is, then it must be the gospel. What ever happened to Garbage in = Gargabe out. Most of the real scientist believe that a cool down cycle is in the near future. They also believe that the data has be tainted because the land base data is on temperatures taken in urban areas where the Urban Heat Island Effect comes in to play.. Never heard of it? It is because it is real. The more catostrophic, the more air time it gets and the more grant money they can get. Facts has nothing to do with it.

Where the librals come in to play is they want money to socialize everything. New programs for this or that as they joust at windmills. Tax money. The green house gas that has the most effect is What? Water Vapor.... You don't hear that do you.. CO2 is only 4 to 8% of the green house effect and only 1 or 2 % of that come from fosil fuel burning.. Your not going to hear that either. The lie is that they want to tax fuel so that you use less of it...because it is more expensive.. They didn't like it when gas got expensive last year because of raw material price increase. Why? Because the increase in price was not going into their pockets.. Liberal politicians are .... politicians first.. re-election is their only function in life... poly - being many and Ticks are blood sucking parasites.

for the simple fact that they don't understand really what global warming is, and are too lazy to educate themselves and understand what everyone else is talking about.

they think just because its called global wamring, that the whole earth and its atmosphere should be getting warmer everywhere!

the other reason, is the fact that the real polluters have been waging propoganda campaigns against environmentalists of all types, so people think of them as the enemy, when in reality, they are only the enemy of the people who are kiling our environemnt and us all.
if you haven't noticed, it isn't just isn't global warming that is a socialist conspiracy, but animal rights, alternative fuel proponents, conservationists who protect wildlife refuges, anti-smoking proponents, protester, and any scientist that states anything any of the others can use to support their cause.
lately the trend has been that the people who were typically against the environmentalists, have been finding themselves on their side, because they are the only ally they have to prevent their own family own farms from going bankrupt as a result of corporations, or wildlife that they like to hunt or fish completely being eliminated from an area because of so-called "progress".

Corporations started a war on Americans a long time ago. And Americans, with the exception of a few old folks, are just now starting to wake up and realize this fact, as more and more people become educated enough to read above the sixth grade level, and start to see what is really happening.

Honestly, attacks on global warming always amazes me. I mean it is like... what does it hurt to be safe rather than sorry?

It's not like global warming gives some sort of major political gain to anyone. So a politician is pro-anti global warming.. whoopie doo doo... Get it?

The irony is that almost every single major environmental scientist in the world agrees that global warming is a problem. Meanwhile, we continue to debate if it is even real??? Figure that one out. Not to repeat myself but I keep going back to thoughts of... why not be safe rather than sorry and why in the world is this a political issue? After all, we are talking about the future livelihood of our children. I, personally, don't like gambling my children's health over politics.

Why is who doing what? Why do they call global warming a hoax? So they can get the maximum profit before they die & can't take it with them. Since they won't be around to suffer the consequences, It makes no difference to them. It's called self interest, which seems to be top priority in the current crop in Washington.

Im 60 years old, and its always been the Liberals point of view to install fear in the American peoples mind. I wouldlnt worry too much about global warming if I were you. Nature will take its course. They have predicted an ice age not too long ago, and it didnt happen. Last year was one of the coldest on record. Last year there was a lot of hurricanes that they say were caused by global warming, but this year there were none. Last year it was the ice caps melting and going to flood the coastlines, now the scientists tell us the ice caps are reforming. 5 years ago, the ozone layer was being depleted because of global warming, and now the ozone layer is repairing itself. Go to bed and quit worrying.

It just so happens that a lot of liberal politicians have hooked onto the theory, basically accepting it a gospel (i.e. Al Gore).

Global warming is real. But I wouldn't be so pompous as to claim that humans are causing it or even have any remote chance at reversing it. The earth goes through large scale climate changes that are far beyond our control.

Liberals use global warming as an excuse to require lower automotive emissions and stricter environmental laws. I agree. While we're at it, lets superglue fault lies to prevent with earthquakes.
