i had the great fortune of meeting crosby, stills and nash. they were staying at the resort that i work at before a show and ran into them several times. got back stage passes and actually got to hang out with them before the show, we even drank david crosbys' beer! (he likes sierra nevada pale ale). they were incredibly down to earth and kind, gave us lots of momentos too!

Yes. I knew the girls in Madame X and they were touring with Deep Purple. I got to meet my guitar idol Ritchie Blackmore. I also got to meet Ian Pace, Roger Glover and Joe Lynn Turner. Ritchie was the highlight though. He doesn't care for the backstage parties so we got to talk to him outside of his dressing room for quite awhile. He also had Candice Night with him. Both were very friendly and polite.
I also used to teach guitar at a music store in Detroit and have met Ted Nugent, Mitch Ryder, Bootsy Collins and a few more. Most rock stars are full of themselves and their reputations exceed their ability. Ritchie though is a true musical genius and I found him to be very congenial. He even invited us back to his hotel room to visit with him for a while. Exactly opposite of what I had read about him. Candice was a real sweetie too.

I met a couple guys from Slipknot (the exact opposite of Crosby, Stills, and Nash, I know), and they basically had NO time to talk, but they still did, and that ranks as one of the coolest experiences of my life.
