"emo people" is just a stereotype, and most of the times, stereotypes are never true. you can't just "become emo". so basically, you're going to act "sad and depressed", just like "emo people" so that they can become your friends. just be yourself, and if these "emo" people like the way you are, then everything will be fine.

why don't you just be yourself, instead of some lame poser. That is exactly what you would become a damn poser. Smile nice and fake now for the camera little girl, everyone is watching. You wouldn't want to be labeled as "uncool" by your so-called friends now would you? Go ahead, be "emo", whatever that is. You sound like a poser without a life of your own. Hey weird cool people, can I come in to your circle and play...Please? Wait until your tenth birthday, you'll have forgotten all about this lame request...

Never become some one just to be in a group. Think thoroughly thru things. Emo's typically hurt themselves, and even attempt suicide; I doubt you want to do that. However if you are head strong on the idea of blending in with the Emo's you can meet some at any "My Chemical Romance" concert or forum. Test them out and see what their like. I recommend if you want to make a statement; wear what you like and express your opinions frequently. Learn about something you really like and go full force on your opinion of it!

if you really want to know, wear tight black clothes a lot. ONLY black clothes with bands on them. good emo bands. i think being indie is better than being emo though. for me, emo was just a phase, a horrible, funny phase. for guys, if you were emo, you looked like a wuss in those tight jeans showing those chicekn legs. but that's just everybody perspective lol. the only way you can be friends with emo kids, is if you HAPPEN to be stuck in a group with them in school, like for class projects, and then they see you look emo too, and voila, friends. you gotta be silly though, it's obviously a big change from being gothic. emo kids usually are depressed from past loves and cant get over it. dont forget those studded black or white belts and converse sneakers. and the occasional black nail polish. just talk to them in class, it's less creepy, any where else and they'd laugh. haha i'd know.

"Emos" are no different from anyone else. If u really think thats what you would like to be like, then u prolly are just like that already. the only thing different is u dress alil different. talk to them. be outgoing with them. and dont mention anything about them being "emo", like saying anything to insult them like half of these a**holes did. Emo people are not stereotypes, theyre people, just as u are. They just tend to express their feelings in different ways. Sometimes alil too unncessarily, but doesnt make them any less of people. I can say that preps are fakes and posers too for fitting in with all the trends and doing wat all of their friends do. I still treat them as people. They may be misguided but they are still people. Its best to be the person you feel you are on the inside, not a stereotype. Listen to what you want to listen to, dress how u want to dress, do the things you want to do, enjoy what you want to enjoy, dont do it just coz u want to fit in with a certain group. that is where you lose ur self-identity.
Take it from someone who lives by this. I do exactly everything ive told u. Ive been labeled a punk, a emo, a skater, a goth, a prep, a jock, and alot of other things. It just depended on the persons view of me. But to me, i was me, and i was comfortable with that. if i enjoyed emo music, i listened to it, if i enjoyed heavy metal, i listened to it, if i wanted to skate board, id do it, if i wanted to run track, id do it, if i wanted to hang out with preps i saw werent completely obsessed to impress, id do it, if i wanted to go to a show, id do it.
Dont confuse what you and other people are with what society labels you as. If you wanna be friends with these people, then just be friends with them. Treat them and communicate with them the same as you would with anyone else.
