chess is an intriguing game...you need different strategies for different players, you need to plan 3 or 4 movies ahead, and change your strategy on a whim. It requires patience, intelligence, creativity and It's just a very challenging game. A grandmaster chess player (one who is recognized as one of the best in the Chess world) just lost to a computer, but still won 500,000 dollars. Now that's not petty change.
And what does ones sex life have to do with chess? You are a complete moron...LOL

Did a Chess nerd attack you in a past life or something? Where's That hostility come from? Relax. It's ok. Everybody loves something. for some people it's chess. Nothing wrong with that. Could be worse. Imagine a Chess nerd with a Gun. a Chess nerd at a Biker bar trying to pick up women. A chess nerd Farting the national anthem. An armed chess nerd trying to impress women at a Biker bar By farting the national anthem.
Let'em play chess. It keeps them out of everyone's hair.

No, with the help of how the cognitive advantages of playing chess is corroborated reality, an basic google seek will demonstrate the plentiful analyze papers on it. How ironic that this fool "prisoner in this worldwide" claims this absurd, it does not take lots contemplation to realize that a interest very much stressful psychological attempt (interior this style of reason) could have cognitive effects. extra effective, evaluate the corollaries that are entailed from this absurd argument against chess on a warrant that it relatively is soaking up or time eating. truly then something, different than for prepare of Islamic nature, might desire to be haram as each thing is time eating and extremely very nearly all styles of entertainment are extra effective soaking up too. Chess, just like classical music, stimulates higher learning regions in the brain. Chess is also a great way to socialize with others with common interests!
Chess is no longer the playground of nerds and anti-social personalities. Local and National Chess Tournaments are abundant and well organized and accessible to all play levels.

Clever... no really I think so.
Chess is a game of strategy. You have to figure out what your opponent is doing, figure out what you want to do, and link both of those together in a strategy to take one piece and basically set it up to be removed from the board. All the while, your opponent is doing the same thing and adapting his moves to counter yours.
My guess is that if you did not like chess, either you do not like most strategy games, many people don't, you played with people who did not understand the game, which makes for two people moving pieces on a bored sporadically and not really thinking anything through, or you lack the patience to wait for your opponent to make a move.

That's an unfortunate generalization. I'm married about to have a child (guess where that is going) yet I enjoy chess.
Why do you get excited about using the exclamation point after 'mate'? Perhaps something needs to be checked?

A lot of people who wish they were smart enough to play chess feel the same way.
Unfortunately, chess is a game for people with more intelligence than you appear to possess.
Too bad. Maybe next life.

Sounds like somebody is bad at chess! I think its appeal is that it is an easy game to play, but a hard game to play well which is a challenge that brainy people seem to like..... knowing that you are good at a game that is hard to master makes you smart. Maybe they need that positive reinforcement? I, for the record, am not good at chess.

it's the battle of wits and u obviously aren't in tuned to ur intelligent side. it's about out thinking ur opponent and crushing every mental decision he makes with a counter act of your own. it's about saving the king at any cost and totally destroying ur opponents well thought out strategy. IT'S ABOUT BRAIN POWER u wouldn't understand
luv ya and that's the truth
