There are SOOOO many people here from different races, beliefs, values, opinions, and backgrounds. Everyone thinks they are right and can't understand the other people are different. I help people out as much as possible not argue or **** people off.

The thing is it is a much misunderstood issue. Also as Answers is a purely written forum where people post a question and there is one answer given, there isn't much debate about some of the quite complex issues brought up by some questions. So, I might write something in all innocence, but you might choose to read it in your own personal way. Alot of people either use race or religion as a means to have a 'chip' on their shoulder and will make some the most innocent comments into a racial or religious slur! Crazy, but that's just the way some people are!

This is a big country full of diverse people where ideas clash. Americans aren't the "only" ones to have different opinions about religion and race. Have an open mind and take a broader view of the world and what is going on in other countries and you will find that they too have issues with religion and race and social classes. Here, on questions/answers are so many topics to choose from and for the most part, people are asking and responding to other issues that have nothing to do with religion or race.

You are quite right on that one, as I am a Canadian, and have started using the Canadian questions filter as I am sick and tired of all the ranting and raving and the racist remarks. Something that seems to be almost non-existent in the Canadian questions, which is really telling about the mindset of our two very different societies.

There are alot of problems with race relations in this country. According to the census, the major 'race' is 'white'. This group has been accused of being racist and they do not like it. Also, the major religion is Christianity and there is only a mild tolerance of people who are different.

I know that really bothers me to. It teaches me a lot though. I think I have learned that there are so many people on this planet, and every single one of them are positive that they know everything.
