It's relative.
Some do more with less, others .. well.
Certainly having greater capacity is important, but it's more about how the whole package works.
Imagination and dreaming go hand in hand with breakthroughs in thought.
I've known folk who were great at amassing and applying skills and rote learning, but were flat out unable to bust out of the box.
Others worked diligently and made progress through just plain sweat and toil.
Still others went long spells appearing to drift and dream -- then popped up with a eureka breakthrough moment.

I.Q. is not a complete criteria fr measuring a persons power of mind.although in general cases it predicts fairly well the persons 'intelligence'.
actually our brain is a very complicated machine whose function is not completely understood till date.so there can be no test or criteria which can establish beyond dobut the minds effitiency.
there are many "slow learner" childrens who have problem in understanding and perciving the figures, tables and logical conclusions.they appear mad at the first sight.but their I.Q. is generally found well above 'normal people'. actually they suffer from a neuro disease.
another example is if a person is very devotee to a field or subject only.means its knowledge is confined for some particular fielde only. Then although it may be a 'know all' person to that field but its I.Q. is generally found low.it happens even fr many scientists.
so scientifically it is ur overall intelligence NOT ur I.Q. which really matters.
and by the way MY I.Q. is enough to answer this question !!!!

Whether I.Q. matters or not depends on who you are.
I would say mine matters to me just because. Mine happens to be in the neighborhood of 180 - 190.

Really i do not know. I suppose it is important on time. If you live with a person with very different QI , there should be problems on a long time. But on, a short time, the highest QI must be tolerant. Else , he has not a high QI

My iq matters to me. I make a living with it. I'm damn good at what I do. It involves a lot of common sense. Common sense also tells to not give out a number.
