Yes...If my life were in jeopardy because of the pregnancy and the doctor told me that bad things could happen or even death then you can believe i would be making an appointment for an abortion because i would not be wanting to die and leave my son motherless.

A bit general of a question... but here it goes, I was due to have my gaul bladder removed just over 5 years ago, I was having attacks near every day. I went in & found out I was 2 and a half weeks pregnant (to early to know at home) I was sent home, could not under go surgery pregnant. I was told by my internalist that my leavals were to high w/ diet & I wasrisking my life. I was married no other children...I kept my baby! And am darn proud I had the worst most painfull pregnancy and had my gaul bladder removed 2 days after giving birth the surgery took 8 hours (norm 2 hours) it had fussed to my other organs. I Never have regreted my decision, to me it was never a choice! I prayed and I survived

I now have 2 beautifull children & another on the way & can not say for sure I would do the same now

I DO NOT BELIEVE ANYONE KNOWS WHAT THEY WILL DO IN THAT SITUATION UNTIL IT ACTUALLY HAPPENS TO THEM!

I'm having baby # 5 and have always said if having this baby could kill me i would have no other choice but to stop the pregnancy, i can not leave the 4 children i have without their mother.
having said that things are going OK for me and i cant wait to have this baby, he is very much wanted.
alot of women have no choice but to end the pregnancy and i think all these women /men calling them murderers etc shouldn't be so quick to judge because how the hell can they until they have been in that persons shoes????
sadly we do not live in the perfect world like some of them seem to think

I am not for abortion, so I would say no. Your physician would know what is best for you and your baby. If it is a condition that puts you at harm for the baby, your doctor will be aware of any precautions that you might need to take. If it is a health problem, and you might pass it on to your baby, I would defnitely say to go ahead and have the baby.

As someone who has been there, sure.
I was lucky - I guess - in that I had a miscarraige, and didnt have to make the choice regarding the actual procedure.
But in the end, what its about, is how many nights will you lose sleep over it? For me it was about a week - but I have known others to be bothered by it (at least in the back of thier mind) for years. Like I said, I was lucky - it wasn't a choice that I made, and I couldnt feel responsible.
I think in the end, you have to ask, what are reaaaallly my values, as oppossed to the ones I spout because they sound good, get the approval of ______, ______ and ______.
A lot of people in those cases find out that their values really arent thier own.****
Good Luck. Make sure youre comfortable - or at least supported - in your choice.

**** I'm not being judgemental here - I have been one of those people to learn that some of my most heartfelt values weren't mine, but ones that other people had bestowed on me. It was a great learning opprotunity to smash them. But it took a lot of guts, and it wasn't pleasant at the time.

If I had a health problem, I wouldn't have gotten pregnant in the first place.

And as far as health problems developing during the pregnancy, well I did develop problems during my pregnancies, more so with my first one, and I still didn't even consider abortion.
My best friend developed even worse problems than I did and she also didn't choose to abort any of her 4 kids.

if u seen your child (born) going out into traffic and seen an oncoming car what would u do? would u run out there and try to get your child out of harms way even if it meant u got hit-- or would u just sit back and watch.

if u chose to run out there to save your child then u are doing what most mothers would do.. so y is it that we will risk our lives for our children that are already born and not for the ones that hasn't been given the chance?

that doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever.

if u chose to watch and hope for the best then u are sick and need to get help

It depends really on the health problem. If they had a high chance of inheriting it, or I would not have long to spend with them I would consider it. Otherwise NO!!!

No, not under any circumstances. But only your Doctor can tell you what the risks are, as he knows what your health problems are and how it would affect the pregnancy or your baby.
A happy & healthy baby to you!
Good Luck!
