I ask for nothing at Christmas. I desire nothing material. If we can get together as family and friends that is more than enough.

Never! As long as it's something that I use, then it's a great gift. I would be happy if someone gave me a gift basket of laundry soap, clothes pins and Downey. It's a few less things I have to buy. Can you imagine how much money you would have if someone else always bought the everyday things you use like soap, toothpaste and toilet paper? What about a year's supply of paper towels or Ziploc bags? That's a good chuck of change!

Not anymore. As a kid if it wasn't a toy, I'd rewrap it and forget about it. Now I'm more like "Dang, I sure can use this. Now I don't have to buy it myself." It's kind of weird being excited about a magazine rack and bath rugs.

It really depends on how practical, im a practical person, and usually ask for things i need rather than want....like for instance i asked my mother if she could upgrade my RAA membership.....even though its not much, its something i would have appreciated, because you never know when its needed.

No...as long as it's not a gift card. I think of gift cards as a cop out.

Yes. Petty and cheap, I know. I feel bad afterwards, though.
