The sky isn't blue. It's every colour of the rainbow, but our eyes only take in light, they don't do any processing of information. So when the light coming into our eyes is translated into impulses and sent to our brain, the frontal cortex figures out that it's a lot easier to just take in the first colour to reach the eye (blue has the longest wave length so it reaches first) and then it'll tell our brain to just see blue. So if it wasn't blue it would be the next longest wave length, green.

It would be black.If the sky wasn't blue, that would mean that the sun was no longer shining.And what color is the sky when there is no sun?Black.
