+ Well you could try asking your friend why in private. I would say that if they ditch you then they might not be such good friends, then again they could have been buying you a secret Christmas present or something and didn't want you to know. Best to confront them and see them in the eye to find out if they are really friends.

I know how you're feeling right now because when I was your age I was going through a very similar situation. Alot of young people go through this thing called peer pressure as i'm sure you're aware of. If they think the person they are with is going to give them a bad image, they move on to the next person. For some reason, younger people feel the need to be viewed as popular. On the brighter side, as you get older and graduate from school, alot of these people change and see what they were missing out on with the people they ditched in school. Without the peer pressure, they grow into their own person and see individuals in a different light. What i'm going to tell you is not to overlook those people that may appear unpopular to everyone else. You could be missing out on the friendship of a lifetime by letting them slip on by. I'm sure you'd rather have a friend whom you can trust with anything than someone who gives you a good image to the public but is not trustworthy. Am I right? There are good people out there...you just have to keep searching. Hope my advice helps!

this happens all the time, regardless of your age. Let things be for now, if she finally comes back, you know she's not just any friend. Friends do come and go and there'r many grades of friends - good strong friendships take a very long time to develop, some hard work to maintain - just like husbands/wives, no different.

No worries. You are in middle school where everyone is trying to make a name for themselves and get the opposite sex to notice them. By high school, you will have a new set of friends and you will be okay. I am willing to bet, one of your most hated enemies in elementary or middle school will be one of your closest friends in high school. Better days are right around the corner.

Maybe the group makes her more comfortable. the way you say you're observing her makes you seem like a spy. Leave her alone,
