Your question implies what I have heard of as the Square Cube Law. Making anything half the size, makes its area 1/4 the area and the volume and mass 1/8 as much. So the ratios of everything change dramatically,

Since the ratio of area to volume increases fourfold, heat loss would increase, so staying warm would be a much greater problem.

Bones and muscles would be half as big but supporting 1/8 the weight, so you would be able to be very much more athletic. One handed pull ups would be a breeze, but being half as thick breaking bones and other injuries would be more likely.

Smaller size would cause a great increase in metabolism, partly due to the heat losses , but other factors would play a part.

As a result your heartbeat and breathing rate would go up a lot.

You would have to eat proportionally a great deal more.

Your life would be much shorter.

Many other things that could not change would have a big effect.

Atoms and molecules would be the same size so you would have to have fewer of them.

Skin and skull thickness would become too thin to do their job adequately, or have to get thicker.

Similarly cells have necessities of scale, driven by the molecule size, so you could not have as many.

Having fewer cells in the brain would make you a lot less smart.
Fewer cells for eyes (or brain to process the info) would make vision much worse (unless your head and eyes got much bigger in proportion to the rest of you)

These same or similar effects can be seen in cases where the same or similar species are dramatically different in size.

Good examples are large and small dogs. Pushing size dramatically in the same species causes many of those issues to become pathologies. The bug eyes and nervous habits in small dogs, and weaker bones and hearts in large dogs.

Northern and southern animals find serious issues concerning heat loss, so squirrels, rabbits, owls, foxes, and probably other critters are bigger in the north than the south.

There are limits to how much certain parts of your body would shrink; after all you aren't a jpeg image, so you won't scale exactly proportionally.

For example, your head will stay about the same size, so will your eyes, nose and mouth and the proportions between them, and so will your basic bone structure. Your body fat will drop to 0, your musculature will dwindle as readily, your BMI will drop to like 15 and you'd be able to see every bone in your body.

1. Your neck would be thin as a rail while your head looks like a bobble head on a stick, your face may still look very pretty but you'll hide your funky skele-body under flowing clothing after a random person gives you 'that look'

2. your arms (biceps) would be about as thick as your neck and your elbow joints would suddenly look all bulbous and gross.

3. Your cheeks would suck in and cheekbones would jab out like an Easter European living on carrots and peppers (which is funny enough, what they eat)

4. Your lips would be thin and unattractive. But the upside is you go through lipstick and chapstick much slower as you use less of it.

5. Given enough time in this state, your skin and teeth and hair would start to go bad as your blood tries to maintain it's pH by drawing calcium from your bones and skin.

6. You'd start looking around for Frodo and that nasty little man Sam who wants to hurt us and keep us from the preciouss

All joking aside, it's not good to be anorexic or bulemic- very bad on your physical and mental health. If you have body image issues you need to address them right away by talking to a counselor who specializes in eating disorders/body image disorders. You are not going to get in trouble because you haven't done anything wrong.

And please throw away your magazines, papers and smash your TV - they'll only confuse you with appearances- the most attractive thing is the same for guys and girls- having a warm and inviting self confidence. Get this by doing some positive outdoorsy fitness and/or group activity that gives you happiness and don't believe the hype. I bet you look just fine as you are.

Do you mean shrinking to 50% size, but staying in proportion?

You'd be:

1. Shorter
2. Lighter
3. Thinner
4. Weaker
5. Quieter
6. Lower volume/ body mass

None of your clothes would fit.

You would weigh significantly less.

Few people would recognize you.

You would spend less money on food.

Your bed would suddenly seem much larger.

The number of rides you could go on at Disneyworld would be reduced.

Are you going to shrink proportionally? If so then your skull would eventually fit snugly around your brain.

I can only think of 3
If you were standing feet to feet with your partner,,your face would be level with it
