nope.......i dont think he'll be a good NFL quaterback. its real easy to be a great college qb and not make it in the nfl. i was watching the the Heismann presentation and listened to the names of the qb's and i didnt hear many NFL superstars. he kinda reminds me of Eric Crouch. almost the same size and mobility. way too small. he can throw a nice spiral though

Of course people will know who Troy Smith is he won the Heisman and will be drafted higher than a lot of better players because the Heisman is overated
and p.s. to the guy above me Colt Brennan is underated and if he was playin for some mainland team he would be considered the best QB in the nation

Anybody remember Archie Griffin or Eddie George or Hopalong Cassady. People in the OSU community which is more and more a statewide phenomenon don't forget their Heisman winners. We've had like 6 or 7 presidents from Ohio too and I'll bet more people can name the Heisman winners.
And guys I don't think the NFL agrees with your assessment of his talent he's already been on the pregame show I'm watching. Boomer gave the hometown boy from Cleveland a Browns helmet.

previously BIllick were given canned(dumbest mistake ever) i ought to have suggested NO way... yet now its troublesome to assert... i ought to opt for to ensure Boller be the starter and Smith the backup; i imagine that they can make a good and powerful blend... they stability one yet another o.k.... Smith did look good the severe 2 video games, yet Boller has also come faraway from the fairway rookie that he once replaced into, I dont imagine that they intend to make a similar mistake that they made with Boller and throw Smith into the placing out position too early... both way next 365 days has were given to be more advantageous suited bypass RAVENS

Yes, but 4 years from now, he'll be a crappy return specialist/ special teams player because he is not an NFL quarterback. He'll go in the 2nd round (too high for him but he'll go early cuz of hype), then fizzle out once his ESPN hype doesn't garner attention anymore.

i say yes, he fits under that same mold of mike vick/vince young. everybody still knows who they are for their ability to make the same types of big plays in the pros as they did in college with their feet. however, he may also be put into a mike vick situation where recievers do NOT catch the ball which ruins his stats along with him losing trust in his recievers. this is why it looks like he is such a horrible passer, because he feels like he if forced to make a play with his feet, and thus, the blame for them losing is put on him. young on the other hand, is all but a savior in tennessee with his late game heroics. he has already won tennessee more games than last year and thus, is loved. so whether it is for better or for worse, people WILL know who troy smith is.
and p.s. nemostorm, we will still be talking about darren mcfadden because he will still be in college. he is only a sophmore and will not be able to enter this years draft. personally though, i think mcfadden will be a great player when he does go to the pros, whether it after his junior or senior year.

Every Ohio State fan will remember him as the first Heisman winner to lead his team to a national championship. And, he'll be nest year's Bruce Gradkowski.

not really. He'll be sitting on the bench as a third stringer. Yet, we'll still be talking about Darren McFadden.
