ive researched on senator obama and im bit confused. is he anti - gay marriages? and if yes why? can anyone xplain to me the whole thing or give me a site.. thanks.. id appreciate it a lot

He is Anti marriage amendment, in other words he does not support an amendment to the constitution that would ban gay marriage. He believes that states are ultimately the ones to choose, not the federal government. He does however support civil unions, but has been cool to supporting gay marriages (and no major Democrat considered presidential timbre has come "out" in favor of marriage rights for gays).
Senator Obama is probably better than most, but not as good as he could be.
Presidential election is two years away, and I am sure we will hear a lot more from everyone on this issue, and we'll see that no one who supports gay marriage will make it to the White House. Perhaps half a loaf is better than no loaf (we can always come back for the other half once we get the GOP out of the WH.

Anti -- he's a product of a conservative religious background and media spin. Once he announces his run for president, the gloves will come off and a lot of skeletons will probably come out of the closet (sort to speak) on this guy.
