Wow, if we ever found a way to get to other galaxies, that'd be the day. Travel to other galaxies is limited to those who control vast amount of energy. Star Trek stuff...

I'm sure there is another Earth-like Earth out there somewhere, there are a LOT of variables that decide if Humans come out the other end. It sure would be cool though.

hey, ONE question, one answer, not 5 questions in one.

We don't know what life is there like. And if human being is ever to find out about, WE wouldn't experience it, because to do so, we got to be able to travel at a velocity way bigger than the speed of light. We probably won't be able to so for the next 2000 years or so. Thus we needn't care about such questions at all. It is totally useless to discuss such thing.
Think of it, the distance to the next similar galaxy is "only" 2 million light years, to reach it, we need a space craft at least 10 million times as fast as light !!
I am convinced we might be able to explore our galaxy one day (if mankind survives itself) but other galaxies??? I doubt it due to the vast distances in the universe, unless so called wormholes really existed.

Assuming there is life on another planet in another galaxy, it would depend on the atmospheric conditions on that particular planet.

For example,
if there is constant volcanic activity, then the beings on that planet would have to be adapted to the methane, amonia, and other toxic gases in the air. It would most likely be extremely hot on this planet due to these gases that exsist in the air which is another condition to adapt to. it would be a pretty hard road to drive but, it is possible.

I hope that answers your question.

In this life, I don't think intergalactic travel within the next 400 years. By the time we get a signal, our great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandchildren will be thinking that these days are ancient history.
