First take the money out of the equasion and see how you feel ethically about what that person was doing. 2nd Weigh your relationship with this person - can you continue this relationship even knowing what this person is doing? 3rd Only if you cannot condone this (unknown) act ethically, then decide. Keep in mind if you do something you cannot live with It WILL affect your soul. You will not like yourself to an extreme and your life will go downhill fast. Do the right thing and you will win.

Sure- Absoloutely I would, That would be the right thing to do for one. Then I would make sure that person was getting proper treatment and help in the slammer to be made well again. I would visit said person often and bring him or her a pizza and soda too each time. play cards with this person and be there for them.

I don't think money should be the key in deciding. What did your friend or family member do? If it was a violent crime or one with a victim, then you should tell the authorities, PERIOD.

If there is a reward, and you don't feel right taking it, then donate the reward money to a charity.

If they did something bad enough to go to jail for that long it must have been something horribly wrong so i would probably turn them in with out the money

If they had committed a bad crime them i would understand that is is most likely best for them to get caught so that they don't do it again. so i would tell but I would not want the money that would give question to my intentons

If it was my mother in law or her husband, in a second. They are liars, thieves and addicts (obviously we don't speak to them or acknowledge them). He's already spent most of his life in prison and it's just a matter of time before he goes back anyways.

what exactly did they do?
I come from a police family...so depending on exactly what they did, yeah- i would turn them in even w/o a reward......a crime is a crime and they must pay.
