Giraffes aren't 40m tall, but only 5,5m. The record beeing 5,87m, your crate would be enough for a normal giraffe.

~Why ruin a perfectly good crate? Lop off the neck at 4.9 meters, and stop at a good taxidermist just before getting to the zoo. Then tell the zookkeeper, in the immortal words of John Clease, "It's just sleeping". If that doesn't work for you, then use a crate of the proper size.
