- I'm looking for good rock/alt. rock French bands that CAN BE FOUND ON iTUNES. Can anyone help me out by naming a few they like? It would also be cool if you can direct me to a site that features their music, like their official website or MySpace profile, etc. Thanks in advance.

- If their are bands in other genres that are particularly energetic, but not screamy are also honorable mentions. In general I'm looking for anything sounding like Red Hot Chili Peppers to Foo Fighters to Reel Big Fish to Nine Inch Nails--in French culture.

Stereolab, there newer music is more pop than rock, but more like indie pop/rock, their earlier stuff has been described as slightly 'kraut-rock'. Only about a 3rd of their music is sung in french, a lot of harmonies though, no screaming (lol). The band is nothing like the ones you listed, but equally good if your even slightly interested in indie music.

Er...my expertise could be constrained to Johnny Halliday and...erm...Plastic Bertrand...ooh and Vanessa Paradis. wager the French are not well known for super track, besides the shown fact that Vanessa did get Johnny Depp, so might desire to have achieved something precise.
