It hurts me to watch as this man dies without ever having experienced the love of a good woman. He is good looking ( or was before the cancer struck ), successful and just an all around sweet man. However, he was never good with women, and therefore missed out on one of life's most cherished blessings - love. What can I say or do to console him and help him deal with the absence in his life of the one joy he was never able to taste or partake of? Any suggestions would be welcome.

So, help him to find a date for true love.
Ultimately, he should get married. At least for 10 or 20 years he can get this taste. Insha Allah (If God permits) he shall live to have love by a woman.

instead of focusing on the negatives, you should be focusing on the positives of what he did accomplish during his life.. all of the lives he changed for the better.. his other successes in life that probably many others won't be able to achieve within their lifetimes..
