A better question would be: What is the WORLD planning on doing about Afghanistan?

It amazes me how many people think Afghanistan is a U.S. only problem. We are merely the first target. If you believe the Muslim extremists will allow the rest of the world any peace should they destroy the U.S., you're dead wrong. Think about this: the U.S. is widely considered the most powerful nation in the world. So what happens should the extremists win? You think they'll leave everyone else alone? Heck no! They just "defeated the most powerful nation in the world"... why should they stop? So, if you're not already Muslim, I hope you're considering becoming one. When you become one or if you already are one, I hope you choose the right "version" - whatever that means to them.

I hate to say it, but Afghanistan is a world problem - Muslim EXTREMISM is a world problem. Always remember: the U.S. was not attacked on 9/11 by some leiderhosen wearing Germans. The U.S. was attacked by Muslim extremists. (Note: I do differentiate between the moderates and the extremists) .

So....what is the WORLD going to do about Afghanistan? As outsiders, about the only thing we can do is help to provide them with a means of supporting themselves in order to give them self worth and self sufficiency. However, the Afghans themselves must want to change their destiny. We can only hope they will do this in the most world-friendly manner.
